Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System. Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling. Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements. Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares. Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel. Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation. Performs studies and make recommendation for disposition of assets.

focused position will support exciting new endeavors in the Fabrication Division.

A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out on the production floor, interacting with mechanics, safety, and equipment services, and directly supporting the production system. In Production Engineering, we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.

Primary Responsibilities This is an equipment development, implementation, and improvement role. This role involves reviewing electrical schematics, control panel designs, and troubleshooting technical issues. Additionally, the role requires project management, testing, and commissioning of complex automated system acquisition and modification projects:

Evaluates business unit and project requirements, develops equipment concepts and designs solutions for the Production System

Coordinates with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and procurement agents to manage tight schedules and budgets for equipment projects

Generates equipment specifications & corresponding verification/validation test protocols for production system assets

Programs, integrates, & troubleshoots automation system from industry leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) including PLCs, NC equipment, HMIs, & Drives from Siemens, FANUC, or Allen Bradley

Optimizes robotics & automation tools and equipment for safety, ergonomics, quality, flow, reliability, or maintainability

Maintains and improves data collection systems that track equipment performance metrics including OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and machine uptime.

Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements

Develops and implements basic work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
