Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.**Position Overview**The Ohio State University College of Medicine’s Department of Urology is seeking an exceptional and innovative urologist trained in Endourology Surgery. The faculty position is full-time on the tenure or clinical track, with rank and salary commensurate with education and experience. The successful candidate is a respected clinician, educator, and researcher whose scholarly work has or will have impact for the field of Urology.The qualified applicant should have Endourology fellowship training and experience in clinical management, research, and teaching of residents and medical students.**Department/Division Overview**

The Department of Urology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is nationally recognized by U.S. News & World Report for delivering the highest quality of care for the treatment of urologic conditions. Our mission is to alleviate patient suffering from urologic disorders through an integrative model of extraordinary clinical care, patient-centered discovery and educational innovation in service of the citizens of Ohio and beyond. Our vision is to transform the lives of our patients through this comprehensive approach to urologic practice. The Department of Urology has a rich history and timeline dating back to 1917. Under the leadership of Dr. Cheryl Lee, the Department is composed of six specialty Divisions with 30 faculty members. Collectively, the Department performs over 22,000 clinic and operative procedures annually.Clinical care, research, education, and community service are major priorities, and the Department is engaged in multicenter and multispecialty initiatives. Urology was ranked #24 in the 2024 US News and World Report Rankings. The Department sponsors fellowship programs in Endourology (Endourological Society) and Urologic Oncology (Society of Urologic Oncology) while Nationwide Children’s Hospital sponsors a fellowship in pediatric urology (Society for Pediatric Urology).**Duties and Responsibilities**

The scope of duties includes diagnosis, consultation, and treatment of adult patients presenting with various disorders of the genitourinary system in office, ambulatory, and hospital settings, with particular focus on endourology.

The successful candidate must have expertise in the management of minimally invasive surgical approaches to standard and complex stone disease.**Requirements**



MD, DO or equivalent•

Residency trained in Urology within an ACGME accredited program•

Fellowship training in the area of endourology•

Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Urology•

Licensed or license eligible to practice medicine in the state of Ohio•

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with residents, faculty members, and other stakeholders•

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously•

Commitment to maintaining high standards of resident education and fostering a positive learning environment•

Demonstrated expertise and experience in urology, with a track record of publications and presentations in thefield**How to Apply**

Clinical faculty (regardless of rank)**- Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research.

**Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank)**- Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD, DO or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care.

**Research Faculty (regardless of rank)** - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to five years. Their principal career focus is research.**The Ohio State University College of Medicine**
