Job Description Direct the activities of the personnel within the bun production and packaging areas in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures, federal, state and local regulations. This position involves a varied schedule with weekend work required.
Responsibilities
Continuously monitor the settings and operations of all equipment to ensure their proper operation.
Monitor and control all process standards relative to mixing, fermentation, dividing, molding, proofing, baking, slicing, packaging and coding.
Ensure the adequate supply of all materials needed to complete the production requirements.
Monitor the completion of all process control and quality assurance documents to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Conduct training and indoctrination of hourly employees in their job functions, GMP, safety and company policies.
Complete all required documents and reports per company and departmental policies and procedures accurately and on time.
Maintain communications with department head regarding any issues concerning employees, equipment, process control, quality, safety or sanitation.
Report any maintenance or sanitation issues to the relevant departments to ensure a safe and productive area.
Consult and, when necessary, discipline employees to maintain a safe and productive workplace.
Hear and resolve employee grievances at the first level.
Assisted other departments as needed and performed other duties assigned.
Physical Demands
Work on feet for the entire shift.
Perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, and bending.
Work in high ambient temperatures.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3 years of manufacturing experience.
1 year of supervisory experience.
Skills
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Good communication and leadership skills.
