Pay Range $19.03–28.54/hr depending on experience.

Position Summary The Batch Clerk reports to the Processing Manager and is based out of our Seabrook, New Jersey location. The Batch Clerk works with formulated batches and ingredients to ensure inventory and cost accuracy, which is key in providing and ensuring traceability of ingredients used. This individual will be responsible for ensuring ingredients are back flushed to work orders, closing work orders, completing weekly pressing work orders, receiving tankers/railcars in the computer, ensuring inventories are correct, and performing month‑end inventory duties.

Primary Responsibilities

Uses computer to record received gallons of batches produced in QAD for all lines, assigning to the appropriate work order to ensure accuracy of traceability and financial cost

Ensures all batch sheets received have the correct amount of ingredients for each work order before closing out the applicable work order

Pull Corporate Samples as needed

Marks tankers/railcars (sugar/concentrate) as "received" in QAD to release for use

Count return ingredients to confirm accuracy and release to be able to be used

Oversee weekly clear‑out areas to ensure outdated stock is removed and "true‑up" details of leftover ingredients

Complete pressing report and close work order weekly

Operate RF Scan to ensure that no ingredients are missed

Accurately perform weekly ingredient cycle counts

Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner

Follow all Facility GMPs

Prepare and participate in root‑cause analysis presentations to identify problems and potential solutions for lost concentration and ways to increase efficiencies within the department

Maintain a Audit Ready Work Area at all times

Adhere to and promote a culture of food safety and quality by understanding your roles and responsibilities in all food safety and quality‑related tasks

Perform all tasks with a Safety/Food Safety first mindset

This role will be required to taste test products as needed, up to a couple of ounces per test

Education and Experience Minimum Required Qualifications

Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent

Ability to work independently and communicate any issues

Previous experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Basic accounting experience/skills and or knowledge of account principles

Must have troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to effectively problem solve

Working knowledge of computers and capable of entering information

Self‑motivated and proactive

Communicate clearly with others

Must be able to climb

Must be able to lift 50lbs

Must possess strong math and reading skills

Successfully complete and maintain the LPC Forklift Certification

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the food/beverage manufacturing industry

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions FREQUENT:

Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).

OCCASIONAL:

Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.

VISION:

Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction. Must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast‑paced production environment involving high speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.

HEARING:

Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines and exhaust fans.
