Senior Backend Engineer

Our client, a forward-thinking technology company, is seeking a talented Senior Backend Engineer to enhance the development of advanced AI-driven software, which supports district attorneys and detectives in performing critical tasks. Key Responsibilities : Technical Leadership : Provide expertise in backend development, architecture, and system design, ensuring high performance and scalability across various platforms. Advanced Data Management : Work with modern data stores, including PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and Elasticsearch, to build efficient data solutions for large-scale, high-demand applications. Cloud-Native Infrastructure : Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native backend solutions on AWS, utilizing serverless technologies for cost-efficient, scalable performance. AI and ML Integration : Incorporate machine learning insights and features into backend systems, focusing on performance optimization and ongoing support. Code Quality and DevOps : Implement high-quality code practices and CI / CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes, ensuring reliable and maintainable systems. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Use IaC tools to efficiently manage cloud infrastructure and optimize resource allocation and scalability. Collaboration Across Teams : Partner closely with software engineers, product designers, and machine learning experts to develop cohesive, data-driven backend solutions. Qualifications : Experience : 7+ years in backend software development, with a track record of delivering well-tested, production-grade applications. Technical Expertise : Proficiency in AWS (preferred), Python , Golang , and modern data storage technologies such as PostgreSQL , NoSQL , and Elasticsearch . Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge : Skilled in serverless technologies and cloud-native frameworks, particularly in designing scalable systems. Machine Learning : Background in ML, with experience deploying and supporting ML-driven products. Database Management : Strong knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL, and data management techniques. Educational Background : Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is preferred.
