Phlebotomist

We are seeking skilled phlebotomists to join our team, tasked with drawing patients' blood and performing specimen processing in a doctor's office setting. This role involves the collection and receipt of biological specimens, accurate data entry into our computer system, and preparing samples for analytical testing. The position requires adherence to the Code of Conduct and involves responsibilities both pre and post-analytical testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and receive biological specimens from patients.
  • Accurately enter specimen data into the company's computer system.
  • Prepare samples for analytical testing.
  • Distribute specimens to the appropriate analytical area.
  • Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
  • Adhere to the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.

Essential Skills:

  • At least 1 year of prior phlebotomy experience (excluding donor, plasma, and MA phlebotomy).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • High School Diploma (HSD) or General Education Development (GED) required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous employment with the company is generally not preferred for this project, unless the candidate left over 6 months ago on good terms.
  • A rehire check with HR will be necessary.

Work Environment:

The position involves working as a phlebotomist in a doctor's office, drawing blood from patients and collaborating closely with medical assistants. The work hours are from 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The company offers ample opportunities for growth and advancement, including a career ladder that employees can qualify for after six months, leading to a phleb tech 2 position with a pay increase.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
