Program Director Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center, located in Los Angeles, is a non-profit organization providing comprehensive mental health services for Children, Adolescents, Transitional Aged Youth, and Adults. The organization includes a 55-bed hospital and six outpatient facilities with 14 to 134 beds, employing approximately 400 staff. Summary Of Position The Medical Services Manager at Percy Village oversees the medication room activities, supervising staff and collaborating with departments to ensure safety and quality. Essential Duties Administers medications, treatments, and nursing procedures as authorized. Supervises and educates clients on hygiene, dietary needs, and medication effects. Monitors medication administration and records accurately. Provides emergency on-call coverage and crisis intervention. Participates in treatment meetings and training. Assists with emergency transportation and safety reporting. Leads client education groups and manages medication supplies. Responds to emergencies and reports hazards. Supervises Medication Technicians, conducts performance reviews, and manages staff schedules. Coordinates clinic schedules and maintains documentation logs. Seeks ongoing learning and maintains clinical and interpersonal skills. Ensures effective communication and contributes to a positive environment. Recommends policy and safety improvements. Monitors client condition changes and completes required documentation. Performs additional tasks as assigned, overseeing staff and coordinating team activities. Essential Skills Effective communication in English, both verbal and written. Experience working with adult clients. Knowledge of psychiatric care, management, and legal requirements. Strong leadership, organizational, and physical assessment skills. Seniority level
