JMT is seeking a Regional CM/CEI Practice Director for any of our Texas locations. The successful leader will be responsible for managing JMT’s Construction Management and Inspection services in Texas. CM services include construction and program management, construction inspection, claims support, scheduling and cost estimating, project controls, and other related construction management responsibilities. You will be responsible for driving growth throughout Texas, providing leadership and mentoring of current CM/CEI staff, developing and overseeing execution of business development strategies, ensuring growth and financial success for the practice at the regional level.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Coordinate strategic growth plan with office leaders and practice leaders.
Develop and maintain relationships with teaming partners, contractors and clients.
Establish and grow market presence in the area through marketing and business development.
Manage financial budget for the practice and allocate resources accordingly.
Lead and contribute to the production of proposals.
Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff.
Establish resources and staffing needs for the practice on a regional level.
Interview and make recommendations for hiring staff for the practice.
Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meetings, coaching) that supports the growth and development of the team.
Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑production environment.
Capable of building successful team relationships with a foundation of trust and respect, and maintaining positive coworker relationships.
Ability to motivate and inspire others.
Demonstrate organized practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self‑starter with full ability to operate independently with substantial autonomy.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
Professional Engineer License or equivalent.
15+ years’ experience in specialized discipline including supervisory, project management, and business development.
Strong relationships with TxDOT and municipal agencies.
Demonstrated experience leading others.
Project management and business development experience.
Experience working with local clients at the state, county, and major municipality level.
Qualifications Preferred
Master’s degree in specialty field.
Working Conditions At JMT we value a healthy work/life balance and offer a flexible hybrid working schedule.
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
Travel to offices in the region monthly will be required to meet with office leadership and staff.
