An established and high-performing neurosurgery program in Ocala, Florida is seeking an experienced
Physician Assistant (PA)
or
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
to join their skilled neuroscience team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary group of neurosurgeons, neurointerventionalists, and neurohospitalists within a comprehensive stroke and Level I trauma center. The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented provider who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment and enjoys both inpatient and outpatient care.
Position Highlights
Collaborate with a
dynamic neuroscience team
that includes neurosurgeons, APPs, neurointerventionalists, and neurohospitalists.
Hospital responsibilities
include managing a busy neurosurgery service and participating in
three operative days per week
(approximately
20% cranial / 80% spine ).
Perform bedside
neuro-ICU and neurosurgical trauma procedures .
Two outpatient clinic days
per week to evaluate and manage follow-up patients.
Shared call rotation
with other APPs.
High level of
autonomy
and exposure to a wide range of neurosurgical cases and procedures.
Work within a
comprehensive stroke center and Level I trauma center , supported by an outstanding neuro-ICU, step-down, and neuro floor teams.
Qualifications
Licensed
Physician Assistant (PA)
or
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
in the state of Florida (or ability to obtain).
Prior surgical experience required ;
neurosurgery experience strongly preferred.
Strong procedural skills and the ability to manage patients independently under physician supervision.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary setting.
Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care in both hospital and clinic settings.
