What You'll Do
Build responsive, secure, intuitive, fast, accessible, and visually stunning global web applications for Tesla Energy customers and internal teams, leveraging React, Next.js, and modern best practices
Thrive in an agile environment, adapting quickly to evolving business needs and user feedback
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Software Engineers, Product Managers, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and DevOps to own solutions from concept to production and beyond
Design for flexibility, scalability, and customization right from the start, incorporating server-side rendering, static generation, and API routes with Next.js
Apply first-principles thinking to optimize processes, enhance performance (e.g., via code-splitting and lazy loading), and deliver exceptional customer experiences
Work on impactful projects that directly advance sustainable energy adoption worldwide
What You'll Bring
2+ years of hands‑on experience in web application development, ideally with customer-facing and internal tools
Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS, and the React framework, including Hooks, Context API, and component lifecycle management
Strong understanding of REST principles, best practices for building and consuming RESTful APIs, and experience with GraphQL as a plus
Familiarity with core React design patterns, state management (e.g., Redux or MobX), and tools like Babel, Webpack, NPM/Yarn
Experience with Next.js for server‑side rendering, static sites, and full‑stack development (e.g., using Node.js or Express) is highly preferred—willingness to dive into full‑stack work is a big plus
Knowledge of modern web trends, including PWAs, accessibility (WCAG standards), security (OWASP guidelines), performance optimization (e.g., Lighthouse audits), and CSS‑in‑JS solutions
Passion for Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
