Job Summary Our Product team builds and scales Toptal’s platform and products, working closely with Operations and Engineering to support growth. We seek a customer‑centric Senior Product Manager with a proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Own and lead all aspects of an established agile team, including backlog grooming, triage, prioritization, and cross‑functional coordination.
Define the scope of new product features and ongoing feature improvements.
Write and prioritize user stories and define acceptance criteria.
Establish and maintain a high level of credibility with internal and external partners.
Break down complex problems and use data and analytics, combined with high‑quality user research, to inform product direction.
Track progress, assess risks, coordinate delivery, and actively communicate contingency and mitigation plans for the team.
Run ad‑hoc research and business analyses to assess opportunities and risks.
Take ownership of identifying and solving complex product challenges that align with both short‑term goals and long‑term strategic initiatives.
Apply system‑analyst techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (required).
At least 3 years of proven software product management experience.
Proven ability to lead products end‑to‑end from early discovery through launch, iteration, and scale.
Experience managing the development and launch of mobile, desktop, and web applications is a plus.
Knowledge of AI product development processes and experience launching AI‑powered features that improve engagement, efficiency, and measurable business outcomes.
Experience building and orchestrating intelligent workflows by connecting systems and automation tools at scale.
Experience with third‑party system integrations is a plus.
Comfortable working with SQL or spreadsheets to analyze data, and conducting research with internal and external users.
Strong expertise in using data to make decisions with a variety of tools and methodologies.
Creative problem‑solving skills and a customer‑centric approach.
Ability to build wireframes and mockups, keeping things simple.
Meticulous and high‑bar for quality when writing user stories, reviewing designs, brainstorming technical approaches, and testing features before release.
Humble, willing to learn, and ready to help achieve team goals.
Experience using agile development methodologies with globally distributed teams.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, rapidly growing company and handling a wide variety of challenges and deadlines.
