Sr. Mobility End User Lead Engineer - Contract to Fulltime ($140k)

Our Client is hiring a Senior End-User Engineer Lead to oversee the enterprise mobility strategy across Android handhelds, mobile printing and IOS (Zebra), iOS. You will drive the technical and operational processes of mobile device management.
You will be the first leader in our clients mobile hands‑on role and will be involved in leading and growing the team, overseeing end‑to‑end mobility program operations, including device procurement, carrier plan management, contract terms, renewals, and upgrades to ensure long‑term sustainability and cost control.
Responsibilities
Mobile Device Strategy
Lead configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management for Zebra Android devices and mobile printers via configuration tools.
Evaluate device usage models (e.g., shared vs. dedicated devices) as new mobile apps roll out.
Manage iPhones/iPads), ensuring secure and scalable deployment in an enterprise context.
Act as the senior escalation point for mobile endpoint issues while helping the team become more self‑sufficient over time.
Security, Automation & Optimization Ensure endpoint security through compliant configurations, patch enforcement, and secure app access controls.
Lead automation efforts for provisioning, health monitoring, and policy deployment across platforms.
Mobility & Vendor Management Oversee mobile carrier plan management, including device assignments, renewals, upgrades, billing terms, and vendor relationships.
Serve as the owner for mobile program management alongside technical engineering efforts.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in mobile or enterprise EUC with focus on Android Enterprise (Zebra) and iOS.
Hands‑on experience with SOTI MobiControl, Zebra OEMConfig, StageNow, LifeGuard, and rugged Android fleet support.
Proven experience supporting consumer mobile platforms (iOS) in corporate environments.
Deep understanding of carrier relationships, plan management, and vendor oversight.
Experience managing lifecycle processes: procurement, staging, RMA, renewals, and support contract terms.
Background in retail or distributed enterprise environments.
High‑autonomy, hands‑on technical environment.
Enterprise‑scale infrastructure with thousands of mobile endpoints across stores and distribution.
