We are looking for an Associate Director to lead Marketing Analytics for the Performance Media & Growth team. This is a key role that will be responsible for analyzing website and paid media performance, building actionable forecasts, designing tests and driving innovation for marketing analytics at Axial1. In this role, you’ll partner with the Data Science team on advanced analytics projects to present clear, client‑ready insights and next steps, and help define the roadmap for Axia1’s proprietary dashboarding tools in partnership with our Data Engineering team. This position will also drive the adoption of AI for analytics, including process, use cases and automation pilots.
Key Responsibilities Analytics & Insight
Turn strategic marketing questions into clear analyses with defined goals.

Provide ad hoc and recurring reads on site behavior and paid media (search, social, programmatic, retail media, CTV).
Forecasting
Build near‑term forecasts (e.g., regression or time‑series) with clear assumptions and ranges.
Work with Data Science on deeper models when needed (e.g., MMM). Define the ask, validate results, and plan how to put them into use.
Explain forecast vs. actuals each month and outline drivers, risks, and opportunities.
Design and read geo‑tests and other causal studies. Set guardrails (power, minimum detectable effect (MDE), contamination checks).
Combine platform results, incrementality tests, and models into one clear readout that can be translated into ongoing dashboards and reports for day to day optimization.
Define data models, trusted datasets, and dashboard templates; keep definitions consistent and usable.
Partner with Data Engineering to establish new data connections and taxonomy/label requirements.
Collaborate with data visualization specialists to improve dashboard usefulness; provide clear requirements and QA.
Client & Stakeholder Enablement
Lead client marketing analytics discussions.
Present forecasts and test results, and recommend decisions.
Create simple playbooks and checklists so media/growth teams can move faster with confidence.
Contribute to the marketing analytics innovation roadmap (measurement improvements, AI/LLM use cases, new dashboards).
Prototype and pilot new approaches; document what works and roll out playbooks to the team.
Participate in capability building (interview exercises, skill rubrics, onboarding materials) as we grow the function.
Qualifications
4–6 years in marketing/growth analytics within performance media (agency or in house)
Hands‑on experience forecasting (regression or time series), with the ability to scope and validate deeper models with Data Science
Proficiency in SQL and either Python or R (pandas, NumPy, statsmodels/scikit‑learn or R equivalents)
Experience integrating warehouse sources (e.g., Redshift/S3) into BI tools and dashboards
Experiment design and causal basics (geo tests, matching/CUPED, power/MDE) experience
Experience building and maintaining dashboards in ThoughtSpot, Tableau, or Power BI.
Clear communication and confident client presentation skills
Curious and experimentation mindset; comfortability testing new methods and turning results into simple playbooks
Passion for AI/LLMs tools, innovative AI use cases and process automation
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Preferred
MMM/light‑MMM experience; CTV and retail media measurement; privacy‑aware measurement
Familiarity with AWS/S3, Supermetrics, dbt‑style modeling, and data‑quality/observability
Experience evaluating analytics/measurement vendors or tools and summarizing trade‑offs for decision makers
