Overtime Elite is looking for a high-energy and detail-oriented Game Night Statistician to handle all game setup, create statistical documents and deliver accurate completion of statistics after games. This is an opportunity to gain experience with game-day operations in professional sports and the use of data for game decisions and player evaluations. Responsibilities
Follow specific instructions for pre and post-game job duties Handle all pre-game setup: enter game information and rosters in statistics software. Craft and update all statistics information accurately throughout the entire game Preparing final and mid-game summary reports for the media and teams. Validate all statistics postgame to ensure accuracy in play-by-play events, locations, and timings. Organize and submit all final game files and documents. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills And Knowledge
Excellent knowledge of basketball terminology and rules. Critical thinking, eager to provide and accept feedback. You are reliable, committed, organized, and honest. Team-oriented work style. Effective communicator; ability to collaborate with teams in a positive manner Excellent and engaging interpersonal and problem-solving skills. High energy, strong detail orientation, and superior work ethic. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced work environment. Physical Demands
Ability to sit for long periods of time Time Commitment
Game days (November-March) including nights and weekends. 5 - 8 hour shifts on game days depending on the number of games: the longest typically being 4:30 pm - 12:30 am on weekdays, 2:30 pm - 10:00 pm on weekends. Education
BS degree or currently pursuing a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or similar. Seniority level
