Responsibilities
Project design, execution, management and communication of research data under the guidance of the laboratory PI
NGS library prep and data analysis, including bulk and single‑cell RNA‑seq, epigenomic profiling, long‑read sequencing
Functional validation of target genes using in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo models
Developing and optimizing novel methodologies
Prepare and submit manuscripts and grant applications
Opportunities for presentations and networking at scientific conferences
Stay current with relevant publications and apply knowledge to research
Collaborate and present data with a wide range of stakeholders and partners
Train other lab members on protocols
Mentor undergraduate and graduate students
Minimum Qualifications
PhD in a relevant field (cancer biology, cell biology, molecular biology, computational biology) with a strong interest in basic hematology research
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A team player with strong aptitude for collaboration
Strong track record of productive research and high‑quality publications
Preferred Qualifications
Strong background in mammalian cell culture, CRISPR‑Cas9 gene editing, molecular biology, epigenomic profiling, flow cytometry, and murine models
Strong background in computational biology and familiarity with R and Python
Proven track record of being creative, passionate, patient, and critical
Possess a strong sense of independence, accountability, work ethic, attention to detail, and drive to propel work forward
Salary The annual base salary range for this position is from $77,976 to $95,014, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
Additional Information This position may be eligible for relocation assistance. This position is not eligible for H1‑B sponsorship at this time.
