Solutions Architect SME - Intelligence & Homeland Security
Join GDIT’s Intelligence and Homeland Security CTO organization and help drive the technical solutions needed to win our most complex and strategic deals.
Candidate will analyze RFI and RFP requirements, develop responsive solutions (including staffing and costs), review and present solutions, develop use‑cases, and work closely with capture and proposal teams. They will create logical and physical architectures, author proposal materials, and review the work of others.
Responsibilities
Provide business and technical architectural guidance to teams, business groups, and customers.
Develop marketing strategies, business concepts, and technical capabilities that differentiate GDIT.
Define, design, and implement full lifecycle of products and services.
Conduct analysis of alternatives and determine best solutions to support business goals.
Support business by developing technical and business solutions.
Identify solutions based on criteria, analyze alternatives, and implement designs.
Research current and emerging technologies, propose changes, and tailor solutions.
Assess existing architectures and recommend improvements.
Ensure architecture teams deliver efficient solutions aligned with business objectives.
Develop and maintain service design procedures and processes.
Prepare and present test plans, technical presentations, and analyst briefings.
Analyze customer requirements and recommend products related to software, platform, and network configurations.
Provide updates on project cost, schedule, and quality to stakeholders.
Serve as expert guide and leader to less‑experienced colleagues (not a people manager).
Recognized as an industry leader in a specific technology.
Qualifications
15+ years of related experience.
Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI + polygraph.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent.
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Experience
15+ years of experience in solutions architecture, proposal development, and technical design.
Minimum Qualifications
15+ years of experience.
Active Top Secret clearance and eligibility for Top Secret/SCI + polygraph.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
Work Conditions
Hybrid work location between the GDIT facility in Herndon, VA and remote (home office).
Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
Sitting for extended periods in a typical office setting.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard or mouse and handle other computer components.
Additional Information Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Travel Required: 10-25%
