Save Job

For roughly 500,000 years, humans have been burning stuff to heat our homes, burning stuff to light our homes, and burning stuff to power our machines. It’s 2025, people. Let’s change that.

Right now, homes account for roughly 20% of the world’s carbon emissions. At Elephant Energy, we are committed to building a one‑stop shop that makes it easy to upgrade to climate‑friendly homes. We enable homeowners to confidently move to modern, electric technologies and get their homes off fossil fuels – all at once or over time.

About The Role What you would be doing:

Our Account Executives ("Home Comfort Advisors") guide homeowners through the electrification journey. They consult to understand needs, introduce products, design custom systems, and close deals. By setting clear expectations and ensuring a seamless handoff to the Project Manager, they play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and creating satisfied, informed customers.

Big Things:

Own end‑to‑end sales pipeline: from initial contact to signed contract.

Develop the market by attending community and industry events.

Lead personalized consultations with homeowners in their homes.

Design personalized electrification plans, present financing options, and close deals.

Educate customers about timelines, installation process, and expected outcomes.

Hit sales targets and exceed monthly/quarterly revenue goals.

Promote an inclusive, equitable, collaborative working environment prioritizing psychological safety.

Little Things:

Provide feedback to improve sales materials and practices.

Refine the sales playbook for consultations and design.

Maintain accurate CRM records.

Stay current on product innovations, rebates, and incentive options.

What you won’t be doing:

Cold emailing prospects for uninterested products.

Working exclusively from a desk in a tele/digital‑sales setting.

Theming marketing strategy or lead generation.

Supervising installation teams or post‑sale project delivery.

Supply‑chain management or vendor negotiations.

Timeline for role expectations:

Within one month, you will: understand heat pumps, building science, our sales process, and customer journey; begin leading initial conversations.

Within three months, you will: design projects and present proposals.

Within six months, you will: manage a pipeline independently, design projects with minimal oversight, and deliver autonomous presentations.

At one year, you will: pitch, design, and close projects independently, supporting growth of the sales team.

Success in this role looks like/can be measured as:

Meeting/exceeding gross margin and revenue goals.

Building customer relationships that lead to 5‑star reviews, NPS promoters, and raving fans.

Contributing to our knowledge base and improving processes.

Advancing the adoption of heat pumps.

You're a great fit for this role if you have:

Experience in customer‑facing sales or consultative roles; ideally in smart home tech, HVAC, energy, or home services. Architecture, construction, building science, and energy efficiency experience is highly desirable.

A proactive, self‑starter mindset with proven ownership and independent results.

Strong communication skills, comfortable connecting people on phone, video, or in‑person.

Ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

Growth‑oriented attitude willing to learn building science, financing, and project management tools.

Track record using data, CRM tools, or systems to optimize processes and drive outcomes.

Highly organized, tech‑savvy across multiple platforms, thriving in a dynamic early‑stage company.

Passion for solving climate change and enthusiasm for a mission‑driven company.

Indicators this may not be the right role for you:

You need highly structured processes and struggle with ambiguity.

You cannot self‑direct learning or engage with technical subjects.

You find face‑to‑face engagement or objection handling challenging.

You avoid balancing multiple responsibilities.

You lack interest or experience in consumer‑focused in‑person service delivery.

Total Compensation We offer competitive cash compensation, meaningful equity, and strong benefits:
