Responsibilities CAD Standards & Compliance
Develop and enforce CAD standards specific to civil engineering (e.g., roadway, drainage, grading, utilities) using Autodesk Civil3D.
Ensure drawings meet client specifications or adhere to LAN standards.
Team Leadership & Training
Provide help resources and mentor CAD designers and project engineers in Autodesk Civil3D.
Evaluate and implement new tools to improve design or production efficiency and accuracy.
Conduct training sessions on software updates, standards, and best practices.
Structure training assessments for new and current staff; develop training courses using third‑party resources.
Quality Control
Review and audit drawings for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to standards.
Implement QA/QC procedures for CAD deliverables.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or Computer‑Aided Drafting Technology Certification or Degree (preferred) or related field.
5+ years of CAD experience in civil engineering projects, with 2+ years in a leadership role preferred.
Proficiency in Autodesk Civil3D and related civil design software.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction documentation.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
