The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a designated book of personal insurance business, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring client retention. This role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients while supporting the overall goals of the agency.
Key Responsibilities
Manage an assigned book of personal lines clients, including policy renewals, endorsements, billing inquiries, and coverage changes.
Provide professional and timely customer service through phone, email, and in-person communication.
Review client accounts to identify coverage gaps, cross-sell opportunities, and ensure adequate protection.
Process renewals, rewrites, cancellations, and reinstatements according to agency and carrier guidelines.
Communicate effectively with carriers to resolve issues and advocate for clients.
Maintain accurate documentation in the agency management system.
Stay current with Massachusetts insurance regulations, carrier products, and underwriting requirements.
Collaborate with team members to meet department and agency performance goals.
Qualifications
Massachusetts Property & Casualty Producer License (required).
Minimum 2–3 years of personal lines account management or customer service experience in an insurance agency.
Strong understanding of personal insurance products (home, auto, umbrella, etc.) and carrier systems.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
