Job Overview Working within the Project Management Team, the Technical Project Manager II coordinates a variety of projects, ensuring project scope is established and resources are properly allocated so that customer satisfaction is achieved and deliverables are met within budget and on schedule.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all project management activities with focus on managing schedule, budget, and risks and their mitigations
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned project work; monitor work to ensure on‑time release and delivery
Perform cost accounting and risk/opportunity management
Maintain extensive regular contact with assigned project clients and equipment vendors
Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolve project management issues
Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately
Ensure effective communication and coordination of project requirements between all Nikkiso disciplines and other project participants
Generate project schedules, budgets, statements of work, and customer status reports
Provide monthly status updates and manage day‑to‑day project communication to clients
Implement and track project budgets and schedules
Create and execute project work plans, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
Apply methodology and enforce project standards
Communicate with customers and internal team, revising work plans as needed
Ensure Nikkiso quality and EHS standards are maintained
Maintain clear and timely communication with other departments to keep the project moving and avoid delays
Host customers and/or their representatives during visits to Nikkiso
Qualifications
Must possess communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of project management standards and best practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience resolving conflicts and promoting organizational effectiveness
Excellent negotiation skills
Experience and Education
Minimum 2+ years of engineering product/project management experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands
May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop or kneel, talk, hear, and use fingers and hands to handle tools or controls
Overtime may be necessary, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs may be required
Job will generally be performed in an office environment, but may require travel to client offices, production facilities, or construction sites
Candidates must show a clean driving abstract and possess a valid driver’s license for travel between company sites and client offices
Environmental Safety Requirements
New employee safety training is required, including Safety Awareness
All safety‑related training is provided and tracked by the EHS Director
Job‑specific training modules may be required on an ongoing basis
Employees are required to wear Nikkiso‑provided PPE as needed
Failure to comply with safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions up to and including termination
