The Activation Solution Engineer is a high‑impact, cross‑functional role designed to accelerate the customer journey from initial acquisition to successful platform adoption and expansion on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. You will be the dedicated technical partner responsible for driving technical enablement and supporting the overall activation and adoption of our customers’ initial use cases.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Own Technical Success:

Lead your account portfolio, act as a single point of contact, and drive adoption metrics and consumption trajectories.

Outcome‑Based Utilization:

Apply an outcome‑based selling mindset, focusing on how the Snowflake AI Data Cloud helps customers solve complex data challenges.

Strategic Advisory:

Serve as a trusted advisor immediately after the contract close, guiding data strategy, technology stack integration, and swift activation of use cases.

Deliver Technical Value with AI:

Use cutting‑edge AI‑powered tools and automation to accelerate solutions and implementation guidance.

Architectural Leadership:

Provide foundational guidance on architecture best practices, workload isolation, resource monitoring, budgeting, and security setup.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with the account team and internal Snowflake teams to ensure seamless resource orchestration.

Develop Scalable Programs:

Create and deliver reusable, high‑impact programs such as Hands‑on Labs and webinars.

Technical Feedback Loop:

Provide field feedback to Product Management and Engineering to influence future product development.

Expert Support & Triage:

Efficiently triage inquiries, assist demos, troubleshooting, and qualify opportunities for the Expansion team.

Required Qualifications

Hands‑on experience with SQL.

Strong understanding of data architecture, data analytics, and core concepts of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Growth mindset and a strong desire to become a Snowflake platform expert.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Project management skills to handle multiple projects and drive customers to agreed timelines.

University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

SnowPro Core certification.

Proficiency in additional coding languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

Experience with modern data technologies (CI/CD tooling, orchestration tools) or basic knowledge of Data Science concepts.

Strong interest in leveraging AI‑powered development tools and coding agents.

Performance Assessment & Career Path

Impact Metrics:

Customer success and platform adoption metrics drive performance assessment.

Consumption: Driving new customer consumption during the initial contract period.

Use Cases: Documented success of helping customers move use cases to production.

Growth: Customer retention and portfolio expansion.

Compensation and Benefits

Eligible for Snowflake’s commission plan with total on‑target earnings of $132,100 – $183,750.

Estimated base salary: $99,075 – $137,813.
