About the Role iCapital is seeking a highly driven and strategic leader to join the Platform Operations team as the US team lead. This individual will be responsible for both client-facing support and technical operations within iCapital’s alternative investment platform. This leader will oversee the team, ensuring seamless fund launches, operational excellence, and exceptional client experiences to drive process improvements, foster cross-functional collaboration, and serve as the escalation point for complex issues. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who can balance strategic oversight with day‑to‑day operational demands.
Responsibilities
Lead Platform Operations across the pre- and post-trade alternative investment lifecycle including fund configuration and white label support.
Manage, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a collaborative high-performing culture, ensuring resources are aligned, SLAs are met, and BAU activities run seamlessly.
Serve as the escalation point and subject matter expert, fostering trust with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Identify, design, and implement automation and process improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability.
Leverage data analysis and reporting tools to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Lead high-impact projects from initiation through execution, including scoping, requirements, risk mitigation, and delivery.
Provide transparent updates to senior leadership, ensuring accountability and alignment with the company strategy.
Collaborate with the Origination, Product and Relation Management teams to deliver best in class execution.
Support business development efforts by bringing operational expertise into client discussions and proposals.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in alternative investment operations
Proven track record leading and developing operational teams
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field
Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive solutions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
Proficient in Excel, SQL, and Tableau
Exceptional organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills
Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage competing priorities
Familiar with emerging technologies, including GenAI, and ability to apply them to operational solutions
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Custodians, Fund Administrators, and Reporting Providers, with a proven ability to manage complex counterparties and ensure seamless data and cash flow reconciliation is preferred
Advanced degree (MBA or related field) is preferred
The base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full‑time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
