About the Position:
Scenthound is dedicated to helping dogs live healthier, happier, longer lives through essential hygiene and wellness care. We bring people close to their dogs, helping them live better and well. We are looking for a general manager for our new Scenthound location in Bountiful, UT, to grow managerial experience in an entrepreneurial environment.
Who We Are Looking For:
Energetic, personable manager who leads with integrity and honesty.
Ensuring every customer interaction is exceptional.
A general manager who thinks like an owner and takes ownership for the store's results.
A hands‑on leader who can handle daily operations of the Scenter focusing on keyperformance indicators: Member conversion rate, Avg ticket worth., Labour efficiency ratio, Re‑book ratio, etc.
Requirements:
Leadership, hiring, team building, deliver results.
Member sales experience – membership sales experience is a major plus (gym, massage, etc.)
Customer service experience.
Strength (can lift up to 70 pounds) and stamina to stand for long periods.
Comfort with dogs of all types.
Dog industry knowledge a plus.
Tasks:
Drive membership sales via health and wellness education.
Maintain a knowledgeable team that prioritizes dog wellness & safety.
Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship for the Scenter employees.
Drive employee development through leadership, training, and performance reviews.
Uphold quality standards by hands‑of‑participation, employee audits, and training.
Promptly communicate info from upper management to your team.
Identify when/where helpis needed and supply assistance to keep the Scenter on schedule.
Create a work environment conducive to teamwork, open communication, and Scenthound values.
Manage client expectations; Resolve customer demands.
Ensure safety of dogs and team members at all times.
Adher to Scenthound sanitary & cleaning practices.
Skills and Abilities:
Effective communication with team members and dog parents.
Leadership, coaching, mentorship.
Recruiting, hiring, and creating happy & effective teams.
Problem solving
Attention to detail
Time‑management– ability to make efficient schedule.
