We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee daily operations across production, quality, and project management functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing leadership, a hands‑on management style, and the ability to ensure that operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, strategic oversight, and people management to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Position Responsibilities Operational Leadership
Oversee and coordinate production, quality, and project management activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
Support supervisors, foremen, and department leads in improving manufacturing processes and asset utilization.
Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency across all departments.
Identify and address operational bottlenecks through effective communication and proactive problem‑solving.
Performance Management
Monitor and evaluate key metrics related to cost, quality, and service delivery.
Implement effective scheduling strategies to improve lead times and meet customer expectations.
Foster employee engagement and retention by providing coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities.
Ensure adherence to company policies and continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and Lean Manufacturing.
Customer and Business Development
Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing customers.
Research and analyze new market opportunities to support business growth.
Strengthen customer relationships through consistent communication and service excellence.
Drive initiatives to enhance product quality while minimizing waste and scrap.
Prerequisites
5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of job shop and production operations.
Proficiency with mills, lathes, and other manufacturing equipment.
Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
Proficient in Mastercam, JobBoss, and Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
Journeyman Certification.
Certified Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineer.
Secondary education in operations, business, manufacturing, or a related field.
