Job Title, Location & Compensation Release Engineer Seattle, Washington Pay Range: $75.00
Role Summary The Senior Release Engineer will design, build, and maintain a custom‑build deployment platform supporting new initiatives. This role is hands‑on and responsible for ensuring reliable, standardised, and automated deployments to both cloud and in‑store Kubernetes environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, ensuring consistent, secure, and auditable deployments.
Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts for build, packaging, and release processes.
Integrate Go and C# components into the release workflows and container build pipelines.
Work with Spectro Cloud and FluxCD to enable GitOps‑based deployments to edge Kubernetes devices.
Standardise onboarding processes for new application teams using templates and automation patterns.
Implement quality gates, validation checks, and compliance automation across pipelines.
Collaborate with QA, platform, and infrastructure teams to ensure end‑to‑end release quality.
Participate in developing self‑healing, monitoring, and alerting capabilities for deployments.
Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, and container performance problems.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years in release engineering, DevOps, or build automation roles.
Deep hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, artifacts, environments).
Strong PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration.
Proficiency in Go and/or C# for tool and pipeline integration.
Experience with containerised workloads and Kubernetes (deployment, manifests, Helm, FluxCD).
Familiarity with Spectro Cloud or equivalent Kubernetes edge management solutions.
Understanding of GitOps, versioning strategies, and configuration‑as‑code.
Solid background in CI/CD governance, including approvals, secrets management, and auditing.
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and cross‑team collaboration skills.
