As a

Steampunk Salesforce Developer , you will work with Technical/Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into well‑architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform. You will develop, test, document and maintain solutions, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation using declarative and programmatic development resources such as triggers, workflows, validations, approvals, Apex classes, Visualforce pages and Lightning components. Execute test plans to ensure quality delivery using test code and unit tests, follow coding standards and participate in code reviews during projects to ensure appropriate design patterns are followed.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the SFDC platform based on industry best practices and business needs.

Manage the process of implementing improvements and new functionality in the SFDC application.

Deliver support and solutions for break/fix issues.

Communicate and collaborate with other technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues and creative solutions.

Perform Salesforce administration (create accounts/profiles, define fields, update layouts, reports, dashboards, etc.) and development.

Support Salesforce.com configuration tasks such as field/page updates, workflows and automated approvals.

Handle numerous projects and priorities using proven project‑management methodologies and sound development practices to ensure quality delivery of enterprise solutions.

Monitor Salesforce.com usage for compliance and maintain security for Salesforce.com data.

Interface with business analysts and technical staff and be responsible for delivering complete work products.

Implement AppExchange platforms.

Research integration issues and work closely with team members on operations and development staff.

Research and develop new Salesforce.com prototypes and applications.

Stay current on force.com technologies and communicate trends and future needs to leadership.

Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of applications.

Build client trust and respect, establish client relationships, and develop rapport with clients.

Participate and engage in all team meetings.

Document best practices and operational procedures.

Facilitate continuous improvement within the environment.

Qualifications (Required)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

3+ years of experience with Salesforce development.

5+ years of experience in related fields.

Functional knowledge of Salesforce data structure and the ability to leverage the tool to meet complex process and reporting requirements.

Proven knowledge and practical application of Lightning Web Components (LWCs), Apex programming, Force.com APIs, and web services.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, for technical and non‑technical audiences in a geographically dispersed environment (conference calls, Skype, face‑to‑face).

Ability to produce high‑quality technical documentation and analysis.

Initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking.

Self‑motivation and ability to grasp concepts quickly.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Salesforce Developer certification(s).

Preferred Skills

Business‑oriented and highly analytical with a strong technical background in Salesforce.com.

Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver results with aggressive timelines.

Independent and self‑directed in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines and minimal supervision.

Experience with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, such as Salesforce DX.

Compensation Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $160,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
