About the Role We’re partnering with a

leading global policy and economic research firm

to appoint a

Senior Economic Research Analyst

focused on

Federal Reserve policy

and

U.S. macroeconomic developments.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who has worked within or closely alongside the

Federal Reserve

or who maintains a strong professional network within the Fed, to take a leading role shaping insights that influence senior decision-makers across global markets.

You’ll be part of a high-profile team advising Fortune 500 companies, leading investment banks, and major global institutions, delivering clear, predictive analysis on what the Fed will do next — not just what it should do.

Ultimately, you will provide

expert analysis

on predicted Federal Reserve policy decisions and their implications for markets and the economy. You will write

concise, impactful client research

and briefings that distil complex macroeconomic developments into clear, actionable perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead analysis and forecasting of Federal Reserve policy decisions and their implications for markets and the economy.

Produce weekly written insights and research notes that distil complex macroeconomic and policy developments into concise, actionable perspectives.

Represent the firm in client briefings and strategy discussions, bringing clarity and authority to your analysis.

Collaborate with a cross-functional policy research team to integrate Fed and macro insights into broader U.S. and global narratives.

Build and maintain trusted relationships with contacts within the Federal Reserve and the Washington policy community — always upholding strict compliance standards.

What We’re Looking For

Experience at the Federal Reserve (current or previous), ideally in a macroeconomic or policy research capacity.

Alternatively, extensive relationships and network within the Fed, with a deep understanding of its culture, policy process, and leadership dynamics.

Strong academic or professional grounding in Economics (PhD not required, but advanced economics background preferred).

Proven experience delivering high-quality written research, market commentary, or policy analysis.

Exceptional communication skills — able to simplify complexity and engage senior-level clients with confidence and credibility.

Intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, and an ability to anticipate policy shifts before they happen.

Why Join This role offers a rare platform to influence how global clients interpret U.S. monetary policy at a pivotal time. You’ll have scope to:

Shape the firm’s Fed and macroeconomic coverage.

Publish impactful research read by decision-makers worldwide.

Engage directly with senior policymakers, investors, and economists across leading institutions.

If you’re a former Fed economist, economic policy researcher, or Washington-based macro analyst looking to elevate your impact on the global stage, we’d love to hear from you.
