As an

Asset Manager , you’ll play a central role in shaping the financial success, long-term strategy, and positive community impact of a diverse, mission-driven portfolio. You’ll guide business plans, improve asset performance, collaborate across teams, and ensure each property delivers both strong returns and high-quality homes.

What You’ll Do Drive Financial Strategy, Modeling & Reporting

Partner with the Asset Management Analyst to develop annual business plans, operating budgets, and long-term capital strategies.

Build, update, and maintain financial models and valuations to support smart, timely decision-making throughout the asset lifecycle.

Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance, completing robust variance analyses and covenant compliance.

Prepare quarterly investor and executive reporting packages with clear insights and recommendations.

Manage documentation and accounting related to ownership transfers, partnership transactions, and buyouts.

Review financial statements and tax returns and oversee external accounting partners.

Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses for refinancing and disposition opportunities, and steer those transactions through execution.

Lead year-end audit prep, investor communications, and responses to one-off requests.

Cash Flow Management

Analyze, calculate, and distribute property-level cash flow and partnership waterfall payouts—annually, semiannually, or during capital events (refi, sale, etc.).

Enhance Property Operations

Advise operations teams on budgeting, capital planning, leasing, marketing, and physical asset needs.

Visit stabilized properties regularly with the Director of Asset Management to maintain an accurate understanding of asset conditions, opportunities, and challenges.

Bring Insight & Support to Key Initiatives

Participate in meetings and partner closely with the Senior Director of Asset Management, CFO, and COO.

Contribute to special projects, such as HUD compliance (2530s, DEC), partnership document research, property tax matters (PILOT), legal coordination, and state tax issues.

What You Bring

Strong ability to collaborate with senior leadership and external partners.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, including translating complex data into clear insights.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi strongly preferred.

Strong relationship-building abilities and financial acumen.

Comfort presenting to executives, boards, and investors.

Experience & Education

Bachelor’s in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field required.

Master’s in Engineering, Business, or Real Estate preferred.

Broker’s License preferred.

3–4 years of asset management experience in affordable housing financed with LIHTC required.

Ability to travel up to 20%.

This is a remote position with 20% travel. Candidates must be located in Denver, CO metro or Los Angeles, CA metro area.
