1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants PURPOSE STATEMENT The Sr. Customer Relations Representative (Customer Billing) is responsible for the timely and accurate billing of the Company’s customers on a monthly or ad hoc basis. All billing is governed by current regulatory requirements (as applicable) as determined by the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission (HPUC) and/or contractual obligations entered into with the Company’s customers. This position has a progression. PURPOSE STATEMENT The Sr. Customer Relations Representative (Customer Billing) is responsible for the timely and accurate billing of the Company’s customers on a monthly or ad hoc basis. All billing is governed by current regulatory requirements (as applicable) as determined by the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission (HPUC) and/or contractual obligations entered into with the Company’s customers. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs all job duties and completes all work in a timely manner with accuracy, including: Cycle billing (Utility and/or Non-Utility) in accordance with billing calendar Off-cycle billing (Utility and/or Non-Utility) on an ad hoc basis Resolution of Hi/Lo and other issue monitoring/investigation Provides notes and commentary in the customer billing system to assist Customer Experience and other departments in understanding account billing history and status. Tracks and analyzes rebills; determines root causes and recommends process improvements to prevent future rebillings. Assists other Customer Relations Representatives with billing discrepancies. Conducts analytical reviews within relevant departments to ensure billing information is reasonable and aligns with customer expectations. Works internally within the Customer Billing Department and with other departments to identify and correct recurring billing errors. OTHER FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES Works effectively as part of a team; provides feedback for process improvements; escalates unresolved issues to supervisors. Promotes safety, safe work habits, and good housekeeping; reports unsafe conditions; maintains EH&S training. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager. Required Education High school diploma or GED. Required Work Experience At least two years of progressive clerical accounting and customer service experience, including six months as a Customer Relations Representative, Grade 4, or similar position; knowledge of accounting or business administration. Knowledge of basic commercial accounting principles; accurate and rapid computation and account balancing skills. Ability to improve efficiency, meet deadlines, analyze problems, and identify system issues. Ability to interpret business materials and regulations; write reports and correspondence; present information effectively. Seniority level
