GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Driver is responsible for transporting materials and supplies between Classic Rock Fabrication's Harrisburg location and other sites, as well as suppliers. This role requires an individual who is independent yet team-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Safety and precision in handling materials are paramount.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Pick up, deliver, load, and unload materials and supplies between the Harrisburg location, other Classic Rock sites, and suppliers. Verify the accuracy of all pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring the correct quantity and material is received or dispatched. Maintain detailed records of pick-ups, deliveries, and materials handled. Accurately complete all necessary forms, receipts, and documentation related to deliveries. Conduct daily inspections of assigned company trucks, ensuring they meet all safety and operational standards. Secure loads properly and safely before transporting. Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as cleaning, fluid checks, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Safely operate forklifts to load and unload materials as needed. Maintain a clean and valid driving record, including holding a current CDL and DOT physical card. Maintain positive customer service relations with both suppliers and customers during all transactions. Communicate regularly with the Production Manager and other shift leaders to share relevant concerns and updates. Safely operate company trucks, including long periods of seated driving. Perform additional duties as required to support the company's goals and mission, as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Management. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of one year of related driving experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record. Forklift operation experience preferred. Knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures and basic maintenance. LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret safety policies, road signs, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence clearly. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regular activities include standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing, and handling materials. Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds. No special vision requirements beyond those necessary to hold a CDL. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work will take place both indoors and outdoors, depending on the task. Noise levels will vary, but are typically moderate in indoor settings.
