Position Summary
The Orthopedic Surgeon provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical and non-surgical treatment of patients with musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, and disorders. The surgeon will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered orthopedic care, ensuring optimal outcomes and adherence to the highest medical and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with conditions involving bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves.
Perform surgical procedures including fracture repair, joint replacement, arthroscopy, sports injury repair, and other orthopedic surgeries as indicated.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and recovery.
Collaborate with other physicians, physical therapists, and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and rehabilitation.
Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results relevant to orthopedic conditions.
Participate in hospital rounds, outpatient clinics, and on-call coverage as assigned.
Maintain accurate, timely medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Contribute to quality improvement, peer review, and clinical research initiatives when applicable.
Educate patients and families on orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
Adhere to all institutional policies, ethical guidelines, and professional standards of care.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
Current DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification.
Excellent clinical judgment, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.
