About The Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease The Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and Dell Children’s Medical Center (DCMC) is seeking a full‑time pediatric cardiologist with specialization in interventional cardiology to support our rapidly growing team within the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease (TCPCHD), a collaboration between UT Health Austin (the clinical practice of Dell Medical School) and Dell Children’s Medical Center. The center was recently ranked No. 10 in the nation for Pediatric Cardiology and Heart Surgery in the 2025‑26 U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals rankings.
About The Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist Position We are recruiting for an experienced mid‑career or senior‑level interventional pediatric cardiologist with opportunity for a leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, leadership, and innovation alongside our team of cardiologists and advanced practice providers. Although patient care is our primary focus, education and research are also encouraged and supported with access to dedicated research professionals, including a statistician, research manager, and research coordinators. Our practice is located in central Austin, providing inpatient and outpatient support for all of central Texas and beyond.
The position encompasses responsibilities in patient care, administration, program development, safety, quality and access for services. This role will work with the Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and the leadership of the TCPCHD to execute yearly personal and programmatic goals focused on the fundamentals of extraordinary care: safety, quality, patient experiences, access, and stewardship. Routine patient care will include: interventional catheterization procedures, general pediatric cardiology clinic, inpatient service, pediatric cardiology call coverage, and close collaboration with the inpatient team in all areas of patient care.

Qualifications Required
Board‑certified in Pediatric Cardiology and able to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License.
Experience in pediatric interventional cardiology, including diagnostic cardiac catheterization, device closure of structural defects, percutaneous valve replacement, endomyocardial biopsy, and all other structural interventional procedures.
Eligible for faculty appointment at The University of Texas at Austin.
Preferred
Experience at higher‑volume centers and demonstrated leadership roles.
Previous experience or education in medical administration and clinical research experience.
