Indiana University Health Medical Group has an employment opportunity for a full‑time Psychiatrist at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. The role will help build full‑service behavioral health services for an under‑served regional patient population.
Position Highlights
Provides quality Outpatient Psychiatric services, coordinates care for the behavioral health service line, offers future clinical oversight for NPs, and collaborates with other Behavioral Health team members. Potential to create/structure IOP/PHP services as the department grows.
Performs psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a patient population predominantly with PTSD, MDD, GAD, ADHD, BPAD, ASD, and some psychosis – comorbid but not primary addiction services.
Provides diagnostic assessment, medication evaluation and management, suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, and overall care of patients with psychiatric disorders.
Collaborates with other providers and services within the system to coordinate care.
This position is supported by MA and RN to allow you to provide the best possible clinical care.
Qualifications
Residency training in Psychiatry.
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana.
One to two years of experience, preferred.
