Diagnostic Radiology Technologist- Per Diem . This role is an opening for an X‑ray Tech I with possibility of consideration for higher levels such as X‑ray Tech II based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
Radiologic Technologists administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic or research purposes. They perform a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, acquire and analyze data essential for diagnosis, and document all activities in accordance with federal and state laws and institutional policies.
Job Duties
Ensure correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared, and clinical history is documented while respecting confidentiality.
Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize patient safety.
Prepare and administer medications through new or existing vascular access sites as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
Evaluate images for proper positioning and technical quality, verify archival storage or transfer of data, and post‑process data if applicable.
Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
Assist the licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
Perform diagnostic radiographic and non‑interpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed, including those performed outside the Radiology Department (e.g., operating room, endoscopy, ICU).
Demonstrate commitment to departmental and organizational priorities.
Operate proficiently in all routine and complex duties, including procedures in the Operating Room.
Participate in modality quality or process improvement activities.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Candidates must satisfy all job‑specific obligations and comply with all organization policies.
Position Details Education:
Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Radiologic Technology (required), Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of related work experience (required).
Certification(s) and License(s):
Basic Life Support Certification (Default Issuing Body); Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
