clearance to be considered. The Distribution Procurement Analyst is responsible for managing procurement of materials, supplies, and services to support distribution operations. Responsibilities include market research, evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms, ensuring purchases are made under favorable conditions for the Government, monitoring vendor performance, tracking purchases, and maintaining an updated vendor database.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Distribution Procurement Analyst: $
Pay commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough market research and ensure the purchase of materials, supplies, and services under the most favorable terms for the Government, in accordance with Section H-1 Competition in Supplies of the basic contract.
Qualify vendors, evaluate bids, and negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for purchased goods and services.
Track and maintain records of all purchases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
Monitor vendor performance, ensuring quality standards meet and resolve any issues related to product or service delivery.
Maintain an up-to-date vendor database, including contact information, performance history, and contract details.
Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with distribution needs and project timelines.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience (minimum of 4 years in procurement or supply chain management).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within a distribution or logistics environment.
Proven ability to conduct market research and analyze vendor proposals to ensure cost-effective and high-quality purchasing decisions.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and prices for goods and services.
Familiarity with vendor qualification processes and the ability to evaluate vendor capabilities and performance.
Proficient in procurement software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and familiar with procurement and supply chain management systems.
Knowledge of relevant contracting and procurement regulations, including competition requirements under federal contracts (e.g., Section H-1 Competition in Supplies).
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to track purchases, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with contract terms.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor relations and internal collaboration.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
