Job Summary Responsible for the planning, organizing, managing and controlling of the engineering program for all hospital facilities. This includes building infrastructure systems, grounds, plant equipment operations, quality assurance, plant preventive maintenance, electrical safety, maintenance and repair requests, and repair parts purchases.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, manage and control operations of the Engineering Department.
Lead the facility preventive maintenance program.
Oversee the facilities electrical safety program.
Establish and update engineering policies and procedures.
Qualifications
AS degree in a technical field (BS degree in management, business or an engineering field preferred but not required).
Required: Candidates with an Associate of Science must hold a Texas State Journeyman’s Electrical or Plumbing License.
Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager preferred.
Five years of experience in engineering management or healthcare department management preferred.
