Klarna
Senior Analyst - Regulatory Interactions and Licensing
This role focuses on supporting Klarna’s financial services regulatory engagements, inquiries, examinations, and license portfolio maintenance, while coordinating cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment on key messages and timely regulatory responses.
What you will do
You will serve as a key point of contact for financial services regulatory engagements and coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment on key messages and timely delivery of regulatory responses.
You will lead the end‑to‑end project management of regulatory initiatives: scope projects, develop detailed plans and timelines, track dependencies, mitigate blockers, and provide clear status updates and escalations.
You will track and report on ongoing and upcoming regulatory interactions across regions and regulators, maintain a central repository of correspondence and commitments, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You will ensure consistent, high‑quality documentation with proper formatting and version control for all submissions, while also supporting internal audits and readiness reviews related to regulatory matters.
You will help maintain Klarna’s license portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate renewal and maintenance of the portfolio of licenses.
Who you are
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Public Policy, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience managing complex regulatory projects or programs within a regulated industry such as financial services or payment services.
Strong knowledge and practical understanding of regulatory landscapes and agencies, such as the FCA, BaFin, SFSA in the EU, and federal and state banking and money transmitter regulators in the US.
Uncompromising attention to detail and precision, particularly in regulatory submissions and communications.
Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance.
Proven track record of leading complex, cross‑functional projects under tight timelines.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex regulatory issues, provide concise updates, and elevate matters when necessary.
Detail‑oriented and analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities, able to navigate complexity and deliver results in fast‑paced, multinational environments.
Skilled at negotiation and stakeholder engagement, able to build credibility and influence internal and external parties at all levels.
Ability to operate with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
