Manager of Regulatory Services – Columbia Memorial Hospital Manager of Regulatory Services serves as a point person providing leadership and support to assure a strong collaborative relationship throughout the hospital operations teams.

Serves as a communication link for all the organizational accreditation processes and leads clinical support teams such as Accreditation, Infection Prevention, and Employee Health.

Ensures licensing and accreditation by keeping up to date on requirements for new, expanding, and existing facilities/services in relation to relevant accrediting standards.

Consults with departments to ensure certification and conducts basic gap analysis for assigned cases.

Serves as the subject matter expert by maintaining internal accreditation, infection prevention, and employee health policies and overseeing organizational compliance of these policies.

Develops content and participates in development of education programs to align policies with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead accreditation processes and support clinical teams.

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of licensing and accreditation requirements.

Consult with departments on certification and perform gap analyses.

Develop and enforce internal policies on accreditation, infection prevention, and employee health.

Design and deliver educational programs aligned with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Thorough knowledge and application of hospital accreditation requirements.

Knowledge of professional nursing/health care standards and infection prevention.

Strong managerial ability, organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.

Ability to observe deficiencies, formulate corrective actions, and recommend improvements.

Professional demeanor and a spirit of helpfulness.

Capability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as journals, medical records, technical procedures, and regulations.

Effective interaction with agencies, community members, governing bodies, management, medical staff, and other leaders.

License / Certification

Current Oregon RN License preferred. Other clinical licensures (Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Pathologist, etc.) will be considered.

Education and Experience

Associate's Degree or higher required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

At least 5 years of experience in a clinical setting with regulatory guidelines preferred.

Preferred credential: Healthcare Accreditation Certification Program (HACP).

Preferred Experience

Experience in accreditation, quality, or infection prevention.

Physical Demands

Standing, walking, stooping, occasional carrying/lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May require extended sitting.

Requires visual acuity and depth perception for reading; hand and finger dexterity for computer use.
