About the Role We’re seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives and deliver high-impact results across multiple teams. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience managing enterprise IT projects and is highly proficient in Agile methodologies. This role requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to coordinate across technical and business functions.
What You’ll Do
Lead full project lifecycle: scope, planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk mitigation, and delivery.
Manage Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and backlog prioritization.
Develop and maintain project documentation (charters, RAID logs, schedules, and reports).
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and technical teams to ensure solution alignment.
Oversee vendor deliverables and enforce accountability across internal and external partners.
Support change management, training, and go‑live planning for technology rollouts.
Communicate project updates, metrics, and risk assessments to leadership and key stakeholders.
What You Bring
8+ years of IT Project Management experience leading enterprise or public sector technology projects.
Proven success managing Agile and hybrid delivery environments.
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile frameworks, and project governance practices.
Excellent leadership, facilitation, and communication skills.
Proficiency with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, MS Project, Confluence, and Visio.
Preferred
PMP, CSM, SAFe, or PMI‑ACP certification.
Experience with State of Illinois agencies or other public sector organizations.
Background managing multi‑vendor or large‑scale digital transformation initiatives.
Local to Springfield, Illinois is required.
