Primary Job Role Conduct all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. Wear proper personal protective equipment.
Attend and successfully complete required technician training classes. Maintain high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry.
Maintain the necessary set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications.
Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company‑owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
Work in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve methods of work, work area, and safety standards.
Inspect components to ensure maximum parts reuse to control repair costs. Complete required documentation using appropriate software, accounting for repair times.
Monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and ensure that the supervisor is aware of any cost over‑run prior to job completion.
Approach work in a positive manner and conduct that supports the work team. Contribute to team efforts by completing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Train and/or mentor others in the department.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
Not Required But Highly Desired Criteria : Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products, and relevant dealer software programs.
Updating of Knowledge Job requirements frequently change, requiring re‑training once or more per year.
Problem Solving, Creativity, and Autonomy Problem Solving : Requires complex problem solving ability with little guidance; independent research and analysis often needed.
Creativity : Requires some creativity to generate solutions or improve effectiveness within established boundaries.

Hazards: includes a variety of physical conditions (e.g., proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working in high places, exposure to heat and/or chemicals).
Atmospheric conditions: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
Oils: air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
Air particulates/contaminants: worker required to wear respirator.
