Job Overview
Amazon.com Services LLC is looking for a lawyer to support Project Kuiper, an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites providing broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. The role will focus on commercial contracts for customers and channel partner engagements in North America and South America.
Key Responsibilities
Structure, draft, and negotiate comprehensive commercial contracts for customer and channel partner engagements.
Develop strategic legal approaches balancing risk management with business flexibility.
Provide nuanced legal counsel on complex customer and partner interactions.
Create scalable legal processes that support rapid business growth.
Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth implementation of legal strategies.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of legal experience.
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent.
Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent.
Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience from both corporate law firm and in-house work.
Additional Requirements Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Some domestic and international travel will be required.
