Company Overview Caton Construction Group, part of The Caton Companies, headquartered in Troy, VA, is expanding. We are currently seeking Equipment Operators for our roadway project in Midlothian, Virginia. Job Summary The Heavy Equipment Operator operates various contractor equipment, including excavators and dozers, and maintains the equipment daily. Responsibilities Operate and assist in digging ditches, trenches, hoisting materials, and related tasks using backhoes, road graders, or front-end loaders. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, reporting any defects or repairs. Adhere to all safety and security standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least four years of experience with medium and heavy equipment, including two years related to pipe operations. Preferred: Valid CDL License. Work Schedule This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with hours typically from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some variation. Work may require local or out-of-town travel, including overnight stays. Long hours and weekend work are common. Additional Requirements Driver’s license required.
