Overview Position: Manufacturing Support Location: Arcola, IL Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour Herff Jones is a leading provider of graduation and educational products and services designed to inspire achievement and create memorable experiences for students. Responsibilities Assist with consolidating orders and distributing them to operators Consolidate WIP for assembly line throughout the day Assist with balancing final assembly line and support minor equipment repair Work with all operators to ensure quality standards are maintained Assist in the training of new personnel Assist in checking finished product quality to meet standards Multitask on your own with minimal direction Assist Lead in making sure material supplies are ordered on time Support the Lead to record production and scrap information Aid and assist Supervisor and Lead as needed What You’ll Bring To The Table Strong communication skills Strong organizational skills Able to take initiative Reading, writing and math skills commensurate with job duties Will meet production and quality standards for this operation Physical strength and dexterity to perform essential functions Understand the steps of construction and quality standards Safe and efficient use of a single needle and multi-needle sewing machine Skills and experience to perform other sewing operations in the department Perform all functions/tasks within the Manufacturing Department Lift up to 90 lbs. repeatedly Bending, sitting or standing for 8 hours a day or longer during busy season Job may require lifting up to 30 pounds Must be able to work all mandatory overtime About Herff Jones Indianapolis-based Herff Jones is the leading provider of graduation and educational products and services designed to inspire achievement and create memorable experiences for students.
