As part of our Engineering and Construction team, the EHS provides support to ensure a safe and environmentally compliant work environment while maintaining code with all local, state, and federal regulations. This position will work closely with administration, other EHS specialists, and all departments within IPS to plan, direct, and implement EHS programs.

Responsibilities
Plan, develop, promote, advise, implement, and assess processes to achieve and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
Anticipate, identify, evaluate, and control hazards
Assist in evaluating the impact of emerging safety issues and regulations on company operation
Assist in establishing a safety‑minded culture of continuous safety awareness, compliance, and visibility throughout the company
Assist in accident/incident/illness and near‑miss investigations, and communicate results and resolution as needed
Evaluate, analyze, and implement proper engineering and administrative control strategies, and proper personal protective equipment
Assist in the development of safety meetings that will encourage and promote employee engagement
Assist with periodic reviews of all safety policies and procedures as well as maintaining injury and illness statistics and reports (Dart, OIR, OSHA, etc.)
ISO 45001 responsibilities include participation in system auditing, safety reviews, and establishing objectives for measuring the effectiveness of the system
Ensure that the Client utilizes international best practices and construction standards in worker safety, and complies with their own Emergency Preparation Activities Plan, policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
Provide comments on procedures regarding adequacy to meet intent of government worker safety laws, and international best practices regarding worker safety
Observe emergency activities performed by the Client and report the activities observed daily
Identify and report daily any deficiencies in plans, operations, and activities conducted
