Qualifications Must-Have:
Proficient in Python programming
Experience with optical communication concepts
Hands-on experience in a lab environment for hardware and software testing
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Nice-To-Have:
Familiarity with optics testing methodologies
Experience in test report analysis for firmware bug allocation
Knowledge of network node setups and configurations
Ability to design and implement automated test cases
Effective communication skills for team collaboration
Responsibilities
Provide reliable support for the San Jose Firmware System Integration Test (SIT) lab, including setup of test equipment and optical components.
Conduct manual testing for project use cases and investigate customer-related issues in the lab.
Enhance existing Python scripts and design new test cases to meet project requirements.
Automate testing processes on the PACE test platform using Python.
Analyze test reports to allocate firmware bug responsibilities effectively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline testing workflows and improve efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends and technologies relevant to optical firmware testing.
Document test procedures and results for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
