Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accountable for customer qualifications of enterprise HDDs.
Interlock with cross‑functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, marketing, sales, customer technical support) to promote alignment with the customer qualification strategy.
Partner with a Senior Application Engineer (AE) to:
Prepare and deliver product introduction/concept/design reviews, customer specification gap analysis, development status updates, and qualification failure analysis reports.
Coordinate the customer sample plan including gathering requirements and interlocking with manufacturing and delivery.
Manage customer communication & qualification of product changes (ECs/PCNs).
Represent CTS on the product core team.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering or Core Science (EE, ME, Physics, etc.).
Can‑do attitude.
Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to quickly ascertain a situation and determine what is needed.
Strong communication and presentation ability.

Compensation & Benefits Details
Salary range reflects relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, geographic location, shift, and business needs.
The range applies to jobs in California, Colorado, New York, or remote positions that can be performed in those states. The range may be modified in the future.
If your position is non‑exempt, you are eligible for overtime pay pursuant to company policy and applicable laws. Shift differential pay may apply.
You may be eligible for bonuses under the Western Digital Short Term Incentive Plan ("STI Plan") or the Sales Incentive Plan ("SIP") and may also participate in our annual Long‑Term Incentive (LTI) program for restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents.
