We are seeking a Designer who will be responsible for generating designs of mechanical, electrical, process, and controls systems. She or he will perform calculations and prepare equipment or material specifications.
Job Responsibilities And Expectations
The Designer provides technical support to engineering and operation departments.
Assist in development, specifications, and scopes of work to complete various projects.
Provide assistance in development of projects and execution or document control and maintenance of quality documents in his/her area of responsibility, customer visits and related team involvement.
Assist senior engineers on projects as directed, read and interpret documents such as engineering codes (state or city), engineering specifications (owner). Understand procedure manuals.
Speak effectively before groups of customers both internal and external.
Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases, and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Design, develop, and implement custom engineered solutions meeting customer product specifications and all industry and regulatory requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
Research and obtain standards/codes required by client and jurisdiction through interaction with necessary personnel (PM, PE, etc.) to accurately and efficiently develop above-noted plan.
Work as a team player and interact well with others.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Form working relationship with internal and external customers.
Complete drawing/project responsibilities within scope, budget and schedule; review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
Education And Experience
B.S. in Engineering or related field from an accredited university OR 3-5 years of proven design experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, semiconductor, or laboratory industries.
0-3 years of professional experience.
