Job Description
Leads the facility’s Infection Prevention (IP) and Control programs. Ensures regulatory compliance and continuous IP readiness. Oversees clinical IP initiatives with a strong emphasis on patient safety. Manages reporting compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), state and local agencies, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) surveillance standards. Directs IP surveillance activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting. Education
Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, Epidemiology, Public Health, Clinical Microbiology, or another health-related science is required. Experience
Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience in a health-related field required Two (2) years of leadership experience in Infection Prevention or epidemiology required Technical Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical analysis programs License/Certification
Current state license in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or another related health science, as applicable Current national Certification in Infection Control (CIC) Other Requirements
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the age and needs of the patient population served by the assigned department.
