Role Summary CD&A - Data Analytics Senior Manager, Rare Disease. Join Amgen’s mission to serve patients by delivering analytics and insights to inform key business decisions for the TAVNEOS leadership team. This role requires designing analyses from diverse data sources to provide holistic, objective insights and partnering with brand teams to drive evidence-based recommendations. Eligible for on-site work in Thousand Oaks, CA or Deerfield, IL with a flexible on-site requirement.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver analyses using complex data sources (e.g., claims, HCP prescribing, demand, EMR) to understand brand performance and drive investments and commercial strategies

Support annual activities (Quarterly Business Reviews, Forecasts, Business Cases, Sales Meetings) with objective, data-driven insights

Partner with Brand and Sales leadership to translate brand strategy into measurable metrics

Explain complex analysis plans and results to internal partners (marketing, sales, finance, pricing)

Collaborate with data science and data strategy teams to optimize data sources and deliver insights

Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring prioritization of business needs and SOP compliance

Enhance team capabilities by researching and implementing new analytical tools and data sources

Support forecast model creation in partnership with forecasting colleagues

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree with 2 years of analytics, sales, or marketing operations experience

OR Master’s degree with 4 years of analytics, sales, or marketing operations experience

OR Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of analytics, sales, or marketing operations experience

OR Associate’s degree with 10 years of analytics, sales, or marketing operations experience

OR High school diploma / GED with 12 years of analytics, sales, or marketing operations experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to explain findings clearly to various audiences

Strategic thinking to support key business decisions

Ability to collaborate across functional groups and manage multiple priorities

Strong understanding of biopharmaceutical industry trends and analytics

Knowledge of marketing analytics in pharma (IQVIA, EMR, claims data, etc.)

Experience with data sources/providers and their strengths/limitations

Expertise in SQL and automated data visualization tools (Tableau, Spotfire)

Experience with spreadsheets, modeling, reporting, and database design

Skills

Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making

Communication: oral, written, and presentation skills

Cross-functional collaboration

Project management and prioritization

Technical proficiency in SQL and visualization tools

Education

As listed under Basic Qualifications (degrees required per level)

Additional Requirements

On-site presence required 2-3 days per week at Thousand Oaks, CA or Deerfield, IL offices
