ER Veterinarian for Specialty & Emergency Private Practice in Southern California
Bixby Animal Specialty & Emergency, located in Torrance, CA, is currently seeking full-time, internship-trained ER Veterinarians for swing and overnight shifts. Our brand new, state-of-the-art specialty and emergency hospital recently expanded hours to 24/7, and we’re looking for talented doctors to join our team. You’ll be supported by our full-time associates with board certifications in internal medicine and surgery, as well as our medical director who's a board-certified criticalist. Should you need them, our on-call cardiologists and anesthesiologist are available for your cases. In addition, our team of RVTs and Doctor’s Assistants are available around the clock.

In-house lab with Idexx Catalyst, SnapPro, Abaxis PTPTT, and CBC machines
Full suite of dental equipment
Endoscopy
Cold laser
Ultrasound
ICU (oxygen) Cage
In-house and online pharmacy
Compensation & Benefits
$160k - $220k base salary, depending on training and shift
Quarterly commission payments and no negative accrual
Flexible 3/12 or 4/10 schedules
3 weeks PTO plus 1 week paid time to attend CE
Annual CE allowance
Paid dues and licensing fees for AVMA, DEA, and VMB
Professional liability insurance
Covered Health Insurance with optional FSA/HSA, vision and dental insurance
Qualifications
Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
Valid license to practice in California, prior to start date
Internship-trained in emergency medicine
Commitment to practicing medicine in accordance with CA VMB standards and veterinary medical ethics
Exemplary behavior in all matters of hospital leadership
TN visa sponsorship may be considered for eligible candidates.
